Five events is not what December looks like. It is what the City of Cape Coral had published for December 2026 when this page was built, on 4 September, and December is four months out. The holiday programme goes up much closer to the date.
What is already listed is the shape of the month: the Holiday Boat-a-Long at Four Freedoms Park on Saturday the 19th, the Reindeer Run 5k at Coral Oaks on the 12th, and the year-round regulars, Mid Week Bingo at Lake Kennedy on the 10th and the line dance social at Four Freedoms on the 22nd.
The Boat-a-Long is the one to know about if you are new to the Cape. A decorated boat parade on the water is a Cape Coral tradition rather than a generic holiday event, and it is the sort of thing that only makes sense in a city with four hundred miles of canals.

December is peak season. The weather is at its best, the seasonal population is at its highest, and the city's holiday programme is the busiest stretch of the year once it is published.
The Reindeer Run is an afternoon race. 4pm, not the usual 7am or 8am. December is the one month of the year in Cape Coral where that is comfortable.
